Project Horror Tales β€” Development Update 4.0.1.3

October 7, 2026

Development on Project Horror Tales continues, and we're currently working toward the next major stage of the game's multiplayer development.

Our recent development has been focused heavily on building a strong foundation for the multiplayer experience. Rather than focusing on adding large amounts of new content right now, we're concentrating on making the game's core systems stable, reliable, and ready for larger-scale testing.

🟒 Development Progress

A lot of important groundwork has been completed.

The save and player persistence systems have received significant improvements, along with better Steam integration, player tracking, backup and recovery systems, and overall server stability.

We're also continuing to improve the underlying multiplayer systems that will support players as the game grows.

🟑 What We're Working On

Our current development focus is on completing the core multiplayer and server systems.

This includes improvements to:

Multiplayer communication

Building and base systems

Server administration

Player protection

Server stability

Save and persistence systems

Security and anti-cheat

These systems are an important part of the next stage of Project Horror Tales, so we're taking the time to make sure they are working properly before moving forward.

πŸ”΅ What's Planned

Once the core multiplayer foundation is in a stable state, we'll continue expanding the game with additional gameplay and multiplayer features.

Some of the features currently planned include:

πŸ—ΊοΈ A player map and navigation system

πŸŽ™οΈ Voice proximity chat

πŸ‘€ Character customization and skins

🌲 Additional resources and survival elements

❀️ Additional gameplay items

πŸ”₯ New building and lighting options

πŸ§‘β€πŸ”§ New NPC content

Some of these features may be introduced in later updates depending on development progress and testing.

πŸ§ͺ Multiplayer Testing

One of the next major stages of development will be full multiplayer testing.

We'll be testing packaged server builds with multiple real Steam accounts to make sure the systems perform correctly when multiple players are connected and interacting with the world.

This testing will help us identify and resolve issues that may not appear during normal development.

🚧 Prioritizing Stability

We've decided to move several features out of the immediate development path so we can concentrate on the most important multiplayer systems first.

Features such as the map system, voice chat, character skins, new NPC content, and anti-cheat integration are still planned, but they may arrive later as development continues.

They aren't cancelled β€” we're simply prioritizing the systems that need to be completed first.

πŸš€ What's Next?

The current goal is straightforward:

Build a stable multiplayer foundation, test it thoroughly, and then continue expanding the game.

Project Horror Tales is entering an important stage of development, and the work being done now will provide the foundation for many of the features we want to introduce in the future.

We're continuing to work toward making the multiplayer experience stable, reliable, and ready for players.

🩸 The Road Ahead

Project Horror Tales is still actively in development, and there's plenty more to come.

Thank you to everyone following the development of the project and supporting us as we continue building the next chapter of Project Horror Tales.

The horror is getting bigger.
